圣经里的《以赛亚书》第十一章第六到第九节说到：

11:6 豺 狼 必 与 绵 羊 羔 同 居 ， 豹 子 与 山 羊 羔 同 卧 。 少 壮 狮 子 ， 与 牛 犊 ， 并 肥 畜 同 群 。 小 孩 子 要 牵 引 他 们 。
11:7 牛 必 与 熊 同 食 。 牛 犊 必 与 小 熊 同 卧 。 狮 子 必 吃 草 与 牛 一 样 。
11:8 吃 奶 的 孩 子 必 玩 耍 在 虺 蛇 的 洞 口 ， 断 奶 的 婴 儿 必 按 手 在 毒 蛇 的 穴 上 。
